A creative place for pottery and art in Port Macquarie! We are in the SHED at 15 Merrigal road. It has been updated and has air- conditioning, large modern space. Its been a long journey getting to actually starting to open ClayKoala Port Macquarie Pottery. Lots of fun finding old second hand, Kilns, hydraulic extruder, slab rollers, griffin grip, slip casting tools, glaze making equipment, tools, glazes, pottery wheels, tables, fridges, washing machine, extruders, Raku Kiln, paint, shelves, trollies, chairs, desks, ladders, benches, heavy concrete laundry tub, pottery molds, clay, clay blender machine, slip machine, oh oh! and the place we went to find these things, thanks to my wonderful husband that can really fix anything! my children and really good friends who joined us on the trips, sorted out the dreaded heavy molds (but have some great molds). Renovating furniture, putting shelves together and designing where to put it all! Still its starting! The garden needs to have plants at the front! Waiting until it is a little cooker. I am still organising workshops, still to paint and sand a door and move my art cupboards into the shed and more. Very thankful but being very tired. As still teaching 2 days a week as a primary school teacher. IT comes first. Then pottery for now!
